In 2009, as part of its commitment to Earth Day Quebec, Air Liquide Canada had worked with two local community-based organizations, namely SDC de la promenade Ste-Catherine and Services horticoles, Les Pousses urbaines to develop a greening project for a vacant lot located in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough in Montreal.
“We are pleased to cooperate with Earth Day Quebec and its partners for the well-being of the environment. This partnership is representative of our core values regarding social involvement and sustainable development. Indeed, environmental considerations are at the heart of every step of our decision-making process and activities,” explains Luc Doyon, President and Chief Executive Officer, Air Liquide Canada.
Air Liquide Canada is also involved in various projects of alternative energies contributing for instance to reduce pollution emissions, including projects in hydrogen energy. Air Liquide Canada is also actively involved in projects for the capture and storage of CO2 which contribute to improve air quality and reduce climate warming.
