10/29/2012

Health has always been an area in which Air Liquide Canada has invested, as evidenced by our numerous products for the health sector and patients. In keeping with this spirit, Air Liquide Canada President and CEO Adam Peters confirmed a donation of $50,000 to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the new Montreal Children's Hospital. With this donation, Air Liquide Canada is contributing to the well-being of the community by investing in the development of durable infrastructures for health care.

The new building housing the Montreal Children's Hospital, part of the McGill University Health Centre, is scheduled to open its doors in 2015. From 2012 to 2014, ALC will contribute an amount totalling $50,000 toward the construction of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The news was made official by Adam Peters on October 11 during his visit to the hospital. For the occasion, Dr. Thérèse Perreault, Director, Newborn Medicine, gave Mr. Peters a tour of the current unit followed by a description of the future facility, including the numerous advantages it will offer.

"I was impressed by the extremely positive changes that this new unit will bring to the care of critically ill newborns," said Adam Peters. "Helping to improve the health of our children is an investment in the future and demonstrates our involvement in our community."
