	Oxygen, of course, is well-known for the treatment of respiratory ailments and resuscitation.
	Carbon dioxide is in the soft drinks you consume and can also be found in fire extinguishers.
	The double-glazed windows that help keep your home warm, and cool, are probably insulated with argon.
	Have you ever filled balloons with helium for a party?
	The paper on which many of our materials are printed is produced with ozone-bleached paper pulp.
	A rare gas with many applications – from health care to space and aeronautics, xenon is used in light bulbs to increase brightness and working life.
	Your car’s tires may be inflated with nitrogen and, a few years from now, you may be driving one of the new hydrogen-fuelled vehicles.
	And let’s not forget your bicycle. Some of its parts may have been cut and welded using a combination of acetylene and oxygen.
