    BLUESHIELD™ LA C-6 Metal-Cored Wire (MCAW) Carbon Steel

    Designed for a wide range of applications, the BLUESHIELD™ LA C-6 Metal-Cored Wire is an excellent choice for single and multiple pass welding of carbon steels that require weld-metal mechanical properties down to -30°C (-20°F). With the capability of performing effectively with Ar/CO2 shielding gas mixtures, this wire is a versatile option for various welding needs.

    • Ideal for A36, A106, A285 steel grades
    • Suitable for general welding, heavy sheet metal fabrication, structural steel, welding of pipes, and hot water heaters
    • Can be used as an alternative for ER70S-6 gas metal arc wire
    • High manganese and silicon contents result in greater deoxidation and flat bead profile
    • Offers better sidewall fusion compared to ER70S-6 wires
    • Suitable for environments where heavy mill scale or contaminants are present
    • Requires DC electrode positive (DC+) for welding
